Positions Open

General information

We want the best, most visionary storytellers we can find. Panorama is a ground-breaking effort to bring travel writing into a new age.

We’ve found many talented editors, writers, and artists to join our core team from our first pool of applicants. We believe that stories and images which show our world should be created by writers and artists throughout that world, and we are building a global perspective through our Masthead. We believe that you don’t need to move great distances geographically to travel. We therefore consciously seek contributors from various locations to widen our cultural lens.

For this second positions call we would particularly welcome applicants from the following regions:

  • Australasia
  • Japan
  • Latin and South America
  • Middle East
  • Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States
  • Southeast Asia
  • United Kingdom

Due to the fact our first call had many American applicants, many of whom we brought on, our second call will be open only to writers who live outside of the United States, so that we can represent the voices of the world, as stated in our vision on our About page. This call is open to applicants living in all other countries, including US nationals living outside of the US.

We actively encourage applications from emerging writers, writers who have not had traditional publishing opportunities, and writers of colour. Writers who have previously applied may reapply, providing they meet the geographical requirements outlined above.
