It’s hard to imagine a more evocative (or more urgent) travel theme than BORDERS. The pieces featured in this issue of Decolonising Travel all engage differently with the theme, defining BORDERS physically, politically, metaphorically, and psychically, to name a few. They also differ in their approach to decolonising travel and in their form, ranging from mixed-media comics and memoirs to journalism and music playlists. Even when their topics are serious, there is much wit and humour, and I am proud that half the authors are publishing their first creative piece with us.
