Adlewyrchiad Mewn Ffenest Trên (Reflection in a Train Window)

Gwibia gwinllannoedd
ar hyd fy ngwyneb
yn rhesi hir o winwydd
llwydwyrdd,
gwyrdd fel afon,
sy’n torri cwysi hir
yngngwastadeddau ‘moch.
Ac ynun llif
dros fy ngwefusau
daw daear ocr,
waedlyd o wreiddiau
a chreigiau coch.
Coed olewydd
llwyd-blyfog sy’n gwthio
gwreiddiau gwyn
yn ddwfn i groen fy moch
a phlethu’n glymau am fy nhrwyn.
Criba’r awyr
ei fysedd main trwy ‘ngwallt,
wrth i grib y mynydd
dorri creithiau ar fy nhalcen.
A’r lleuad yn fy llygad
sy’n dal i syllu nôl
yn syn.

Vineyards streak across my facelong
rows of vines
in river-green
and grey-green
plough furrows
on the plateaus of my cheek.
In a rush
across my lips
an ochre, bleeding
earth of rocks
and roots.
Feather-grey
olive groves push
roots of light
deep into my cheek,
twisting, tying knots around my nose.
The sky combs
its thin fingers through my hair,
while the mountains
claw a scar along my forehead.
And the moon in my eyes
stares back
still surprised.
